Grace Apartments
Construction of 109 high end apartments over 10 levels situated at the high point of Sale Street CBD. MCCL contracted under negotiated ECI model. Macrennie managed design&build of building services.
Construction Details
Two level basement with board piers supported with ground anchors.
Reinforced concrete superstructure including round and square concrete columns, precast beams with double T flooring.
Exposed concrete structure including curved precast concrete beams, round and square columns all requiring a high level of finish.
The lift core supporting two lifts was constructed using a jumpform system, constructed ahead of the suspended floors.
The roof is a combination of longrun metal roofing and two-layer torchon membrane (including ILD leak detection).
A predominantly glazed façade with faceted glazed balustrade fixed to curved precast beams.
A complex aluminium balustrade system wraps the internal walkways at each level.
Full sprinkler and air-conditioned building throughout.
Great use of external patio space at roof level with resident’s lounge overlooking the outstanding views of the city through to the harbour bridge.
