137 Great North Road – Samson Corporation
Construction of a 4 Level A-Grade commercial office building over a 2,300m2 floor area.
The building was designed and constructed utilising the stripped back existing concrete structure as an adaptive reuse project.
MCCL was engaged on a mixed attribute.
Construction Details
Significant demolition of roof, cladding, fitout and services, stripped back to existing structure
An extra structural floor to be added to the existing structure, with steel roof structure above
New fully glazed façade system installed
Specialised perforated black lite aluminium screens, intricately shop drawn, fabricated and installed with tight tolerances
New timber LVL stairs with timber lined stairwell and feature lighting
Kone lift installation in to existing core
Reused timber flooring to assist in sustainability scorecard for the project
This project is a 5 Star Design and Built Greenstar project
Constructed in a very tight site with limited traffic movements for deliveries and cranage
