Ben Wrigley
Director + Project Manager
Ben oversees construction delivery across the business, bringing extensive experience from high-profile global projects.
His friendly personality and hands-on approach to every aspect of the design and build process ensure successful outcomes. Ben focuses on building strong, seamless relationships between clients, consultants, and subcontractors to achieve the best project results.
Outside of work, Ben is passionate about his family and often coaches his kids' sports teams on Saturday mornings or enjoys a round of golf when time allows.
Michael joined Macrennie Commercial Construction in 2006 as a junior cadet. In 2010 and 2012 he spent time gaining valuable experience overseas, and then returned to the Macrennie fold and quickly rose through the ranks to become a joint Managing Director.
As the foundation of the estimation department, Michael's expertise in quantity surveying and cost planning, combined with his client-focused approach, drives consistent value. He collaborates closely with project teams and has built lasting relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys relaxing on the water, or following his passion up a mountain, either snowboarding or mountain biking.

Many of our team members started through our apprenticeship scheme, giving us deep-rooted experience and knowledge. Steve joined Macrennie in 2003 and became a joint Managing Director in 2024. With extensive experience in large-scale residential, commercial, and industrial projects, he brings a wealth of practical, technical, and cost-effective management strategies to overcome any challenge.
Steve excels at collaborating with project teams and clients to ensure construction work remains on track and is delivered to best practice standards.
When he’s not working, you’ll find him surfing and enjoying the waves.
Project Manager + Preconstruction Manager
Stepping down as Managing Director in 2024 allowed Bryce to focus on his passion for delivering buildings.
His extensive knowledge enhances the preconstruction team, ensuring projects are set up right from the start. Bryce has overseen some of the country's largest commercial and residential projects, including the multi-award-winning Iron Bank building.
He focuses on nurturing excellent relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring every project is completed on time, to specification, and within budget. A staunch rugby supporter with a taste for travel and fine wine, Bryce can often be found on the water or following World Cups around the world.
Major Projects Manager
Sam joined the Macrennie team bringing vast experience delivering large and complex projects, Sam's attention to detail and ability to energise a team truly enhance any project.
A people person at heart, Sam connects with individuals up and down the supply chain to maximise team performance and has a true passion for construction and the challenges it brings.
When not working, you'll find Sam spending time with his wife & kids, mountain biking, waterskiing, or out on the racetrack in his bright yellow race car.
