Project description

• This was a redevelopment of an existing manufacturing site in Carr Road Mt Roskill, repurposing the existing warehouse steel portal frame and completion of a 5000m2 multi retail development on the site.

• MCCL contracted on an open book ECI procurement model.

Construction                        

• Demolition of existing building, back to steel portal frame and concrete slab.

• Construction of new Briscoes and Rebel sport on footprint of existing manufacturing site.

• Construction of stand-alone retail space to the road frontage

• Civil works included remediating existing ground to accommodate new siteworks and carpark. The successful use of stabilising contaminated material in lieu of removal of the cost of removal.

• Glazed front façade with automatic sliding doors to retail.

• Existing sprinklers tested and utilised in new development.

• Extensive retail fitout, existing slab repair to allow vinyl and carpet tile flooring.

• Co-ordination with integrated fitout to stand alone retail units.
